Each spring during the last full moon of the lunar month, Hindus around the world celebrate Holi. This ritual is called the Festival of Colors because celebrants joyfully splash each other with brightly colored powder and water in celebration of springtime and to honor the playful side of Krishna. Holi grants Hindus a chance to just dance, play, and enjoy a moment of freedom and fun. TheAtlantic.com featured the following photos of Holi to offer a peek into the lively and lovely celebration.
