The American Idol judge has raced to sign on with Fiat to appear in commercials for the Italian automotive brand. Adweek.com recently reported on this racy new venture.
In addition to the car commercials coming out later this year, the singer’s new music video for the song “Papi” boldly features a 2012 Fiat 500 Cabrio. A 30-second preview of the video was broadcast during ESPN’s Monday Night Football and will appear on Fiat’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
This collaboration is part of Chrysler’s plan to reintroduce the Fiat to U.S. markets. Fiat has always favored glitzy marketing promotions, most recently aligning itself with New York City’s Fashion Week in an effort to boost its brand image through a fashionable tie-in. Now with Jennifer Lopez by its side, Fiat is looking to turn heads once again with its signature glamorous style.
