MDG recently developed two consumer advertising campaigns for Dental Care Alliance, one of the largest dental practice management companies, with more than 85 locations in eight states. With the goal of approaching dental care advertising in a completely different way, we designed a pair of consumer campaigns that uses creative imagery of teeth to cleverly open up a new conversation about dental care. The campaigns have generated exceptional response and conversion in both traditional and digital media.
The strategy behind the two consumer campaigns is to use irreverent visuals and phrases, which are completely different from the usual “smiling patient” imagery, to capture the reader’s attention while making the messages loud and clear.
The first consumer campaign features “talking teeth” that communicate various reasons why consumers should see a dentist. Our team developed a series of ads, displayed here as direct mail postcards, with each featuring a different message expressed through playful imagery and witty messages.

For the second campaign, teeth are used as quotation marks to surround motivating messages regarding the importance of dental care. By using bright colors and making the message the focus, these stand apart from traditional dental advertising and let the message do the talking.
By taking a unique approach to the typical dental care ad, now Dental Care Alliance practices can really stand out from the competition with ads that make the consumer smile.
