Each year, MDG develops an integrated member-communication campaign to promote the wide array of financial products and services available from IBM Southeast Employees’ Federal Credit Union. In 2011, MDG updated IBM’s campaign to an animated email format from its traditional direct mail approach, with great results.

Building on last year’s success, the 2012 email marketing campaign has already experienced outstanding results, with a 30% overall click-through rate for the month of January alone. Our move to an interactive, digital design is being credited with increasing member engagement levels, which is directly driving the click-through rate to new heights. The campaign promotes the credit union’s eight primary financial products through a rotation of member-focused, creative emails. The products include auto loans, checking, online banking, home equity lines of credit, first mortgages, VISA credit cards, insurance, and investments.

To give financial services a more fun and engaging spin, our team developed a “Wheel of Fortune” concept with the eight services displayed on panels of the spinning wheel. The email prompts members to click to test their luck. Upon clicking, members are directed to a landing page that rewards them with a promotional offer for one of the eight financial services.
