The 10 Top Brands on Social Media in 2013 [Infographic]

Samsung produced the most engaging social media content of any brand worldwide in 2013, according to a recent analysis by Starcount.

Over the past year the South Korean electronics giant stepped up its advertising and branding efforts on social media networks, which led to 14 million new Facebook fans, 4 million new Twitter followers, and over 86 million views on YouTube.

Disney ranked second, thanks in large part to its 2 million new Facebook fans and 1 million new followers on Chinese network Sina Weibo.

National Geographic, whose videos on YouTube were watched 160 million times, landed in third place.

Traditional advertising and branding heavyweights Coca-Cola and Nike both made the list, as did three social media networks: Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
