A recent study from market research firm Lab42 revealed that consumers consider a brand’s Facebook page to be more valuable than their website. The study evaluated how 1,000 social media users interacted with brands on the popular social media network and the results indicated that consumers think Facebook is a much better place to connect and communicate with brands. These findings were compiled into an interesting social media infographic featured on Mashable.com.
The infographic showed that 82 percent of respondents deemed Facebook a good place to interact with brands and that 75 percent felt more connected to the company on the social network. A whopping 87 percent of respondents reported “liking” their favorite brands, with 34 percent of these people motivated to “like” through special Facebook promotions and discounts, while 21 percent were influenced by giveaways and 14 percent were compelled to “like” out of loyalty. Conversely, 73 percent of respondents have “unliked” a brand for posting too often, as well as a change of personal preference and a negative customer experience.
