Subway is no stranger to social media, yet the sandwich chain’s new mini-campaign may be its freshest yet. Subway is assembling animated gifs from customers’ Promoted Tweets, organic Twitter messages and Facebook comments into a clever cross-media marketing push. Adweek.com posted the details on what Subway is serving up.
The pixel-packed promotion is part of the brand’s JanuANY $5 Footlong campaign. The goal is for customers to share and spread these quirky, perky pictures with their family and friends through social media. Currently, the campaign consists of 73 goofy gifs, but Subway is striving to reach 100 gifs in the next few days.
And these gifs are certainly something to see, from colorful creatures chomping on subs to pop-art pictures of fanciful fillings and retro sandwich-centric scenes. It’s a fun, fresh, and fitting campaign for a brand that’s in touch with our social cravings. Here are some of the gifs.
